Late Night Ramblings
So the sermon has been sitting on the pulpit for a while, the bulletins are sitting in the narthex. At times like this a Preacher’s mind can set to wandering.
62 year ago, my grandfather was getting ready to be ordained. His anniversary of ordination is June 13th. I wonder what he was thinking, or doing. What he nervous? What he excited?
Almost a year ago, I was ordained and officially began working as a pastor. And it may be the only thing in my life that has actually lived up to expectations, and I can at least say that now in all honesty. Who knows? Maybe I won’t feel that way in the future, but for now things are great.
Anyways, its late and I have to do my thing tomorrow. But I just thought a few thoughts with things done ahead of time might be in good order.
